Elements of the Banking and Industrial Police rescued an injured eagle in Parque Hundido, Mexico City, and handed it over to the Animal Surveillance Brigade for care.

Elements of the Banking and Industrial Police (PBI), belonging to the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) of Mexico City, carried out a rescue of an injured eagle in Parque Hundido in the Benito Juárez municipality. The bird was handed over to the Animal Surveillance Brigade (BVA) for medical attention and safeguarding.

During a patrol in the area, the officers received a report from citizens who noticed the eagle struggling to fly and with an injury to one eye. Acting quickly, they implemented a protocol to protect the animal and prevent further damage. Minutes later, specialized personnel from the Animal Surveillance Brigade arrived at the scene, secured the specimen, placed it in a transporter, and transferred it to their facilities in the Xochimilco municipality.

In Xochimilco, veterinary doctors will assess the eagle's condition to provide the necessary care. Authorities reported that the animal will remain under observation and special care to ensure its recovery and well-being. The SSC reiterated its commitment to the protection and rescue of wildlife in the capital, calling on citizens to respect animals and avoid any form of mistreatment.
